LHDN's phased e-Invoice mandate continues to expand to smaller businesses, based on annual turnover. e-Invoicing replaces traditional invoices with a digital version validated in real time through LHDN's MyInvois system.
Companies within the turnover band for the current phase. Over time, most businesses issuing invoices in Malaysia will be included — many SMEs and eventually smaller micro-businesses.
1) Check which phase your annual turnover places you in. 2) Make sure your accounting/invoicing software can connect to MyInvois. 3) Clean up your customer and supplier data (TIN, registration numbers). 4) Brief the staff who issue invoices.
